They are looking reasonable to me. I have also bought some stuff from this seller. He is ok.

Excellent thanks for the heads up - will keep an eye on this.

Think that's for one. 1 St. = 1 stuck = 1 piece.

German GCSE came in useful for something finally :)

Thanks to AvE, we now all know that the proper, universal, name for an adjustable spanner is a "thumb detecting nut ****er".

Indeed, thankfully I dont detect my thumb terribly often, I'm much better at slicing myself open with sharp objects.  :-[

I don't slice myself open but I do drop heavy item on bare toes.  Lost a few tonails on big toes and ended up in the emergency once because I thought I broke my toe dropping an APC SmartUPS 1500(with batteries) corner first on my big toe cuticle.  Lots of blood and lost the nail, yet again, but nothing broken.

Last weekend, I shot myself through my index finger with a brad nailer trying to repair a desk drawer.  2nd time I have shot myself through a finger with a nail gun in the past year.  I figure if I am going to injure myself doing something, might as well do it right.

Just ordered a Vellemen WFS210- I know they aren't the greatest Scopes, but for my noob learning requirements and $35 AUD I figure it'll do nicely.  :-/O

Since it's not ground referenced, it's also nice for working on power supplies. Unfortunately, the two channels aren't isolated from each other.

Have you considered getting an adult to supervise you when you use tools?  :)

Yeah it certainly has its limitations, but at $35 the minister for shoes, handbags and finance didn't object, heck she didn't even mind me using her mother to re-ship it for me (bundled into the kids Xmas presents).

SWMBO keeps telling the Sheppard mix to watch me when she isn't around but she doesn't do a good job. ;D  After 18 years of knowing each other and being married for 12 years, she is no longer surprised about the creative way I do myself an injury.  However, she still shakes her head when she sees a large bruise on me somewhere I can't see it and I can't explain how I got it.

Yeek!!  You obviously don't play games when it comes to this stuff!  (Stay away from the framing nailer!!   :P )

I've come close a few times with finish and brad nailers when one of the little buggers bumps into something it doesn't like on the way in and unexpectedly decides to reverse course and pop out through the surface next to where I'm holding it.  Definitely attention getting!  :wtf:  I now mostly remember to hold things further away from the nose of the gun than the nail is long.  Figure it's best to try to stay out of range of errant fasteners.  As long as I do that, I'm probably less likely to injure myself with the pneumatic nailer than I am swinging a hammer to drive them in - my thumb tends to become strongly magnetic when a fast moving hammer approaches it.

You got one then, can't wait for mine to arrive. Novelty value alone makes it worthwhile investigating, 10Mhz might be limiting for some things but the thought of third party software and the DVM add to the appeal.

Sure did mate, thanks for pointing it it out to us.  :-+

I have no idea what i'm doing when it comes to scopes, so for me it'll be good to learn on and pairing it with my iPad Air 2 seems like a great option for me. And once I know what im doing, it'll give me the confidence to invest in a nice 4 channel Rigol DSO.

The framing nailer has never been a problem.  The first time was with a finish nailer and it went in at the top of my thumb along side the nail and came out by the cuticle.  I didn't even feel it, I just saw it there.  The brad went cross ways through my index finger and hurt like a b***h.  I can honestly say that I have hit my thumb more often over the years before pneumatics than shooting myself with a nailer but I have owned hammers for many more years than owning nail guns.

Worst for me was glazing, sliced my hand open. Looked at the blood, thought about it for a few seconds then went to the bathroom and washed it with disinfectant ( thank you for the Cetrimide, it does not sting, must just buy more soon, only got Dettol left and that is painful) and put a gauze pad on it with a lot of tape to apply pressure. Then took 2 painkillers, still was numb, but knew that would not last too long. Then went and finished the window, and walked over to my now late neighbour, who was a registered nurse, and asked her expert opinion. After the obligate tongue lashing, she told me to toddle off to the doctor and get the thing stitched up.

Drive to the doctor, arrive 1PM, and walk in, and there is my regular doctor, just finishing his last patient. He greets me, tells me I am an idiot, and asks how I feel otherwise, and to come through to the treatment room to have some habedashery done to me. 4 stitches later, self dissolving, and a painful shot of Lidocaine ( that does hurt, from a lot of experience of it, and it is hard to do it painlessly, only the paediatricians seem to learn the knack of doing it, though I knew of some nurses that could as well) to prepare for them, and a good slathering of Betadine and a bandage, and I drove back home, going via the hospital to visit. Came home, second coat of sealer on the window, then took the lovely painkillers and met Morpheus for the afternoon.

Before that was just cutting into the bone of my hand with a cutter blade, just taped it up and let it heal, took about a week, and the odd toenail removal. Did drop a drill, pointy end first, and it was stopped by my foot, and went all the way through.

I love how this thread has turned to gore. I was working once next to someone who had a massive scar on his face like he’d been branded. He told me he was running drugs in Mexico and got caught by an opposing gang member and was branded their property as a punishment. . Turns out the real story was after a motorbike accident he suffered from narcolepsy for a couple of years. He was really moonlighting as a plumber and passed out on a nice fat pipe soldering iron  :-DD

Well while on the subject of gore anyways i got a real whopper, once while using a straight razor to cut ribbon cable my hand slipped and the razor went straight into my middle finger.  I didn't even feel it because the razor cut so deep it even cut a nerve or two and if it wasn't for the fact it hit bone i could easily have lopped the end of my finger off.  I recover from the initial shock, go to the bathroom pry the razor out of the bone then poured rubbing alcohol over it and spent the next 10 minutes trying to stop bleeding, by the time i was done i must have lost a pint and i had my finger held together with liquid bandage, a tissue and duct tape. Healed fine.

When I was like 15 I tried to drill a hole in the middle of a copper plate circle that I just cut out with a tin snipper(?). Seems like holding it in my hand while trying to drill the hole wasn't such a good idea after all...
