First time I see someone liking this supply. I have now 9 of them, but don't know if all of them are working.
Yesterday an idea occurred to me: While I don't want to sell any of my gear, I might be persuaded to exchange something for a piece I don't have yet. Owing to not-yet-invented matter transmitters and high shipping costs/customs problems, I was thinking of Germany, probably Europe, erstwhile.
This way I might part with some equipment where I have many pieces.

Haha, he's already got more than enough items for a lifetime with all that dumpster diving he was doing a while back, I was after a PM 2521 but no deal  so I doubt that he'll hit that button, he has enough items now that could be used as bricks to build himself a bigger lab with

As part of a recent box of random there was some mainly new 2mm pin jacks and sockets. Anyone here got a rebuild in need?
Rear two pins are 50 ohm Pamona loads.

Looks like it plugs into a vacuum tube socket. I found the following doc (see page 6), but the title is "Nems-Clarke Equipment Directory". So, it may not be for your thingamajig. Anyway, this list has a VF-1400A that is a VFO addon to make a receiver tunable.

To all TEA, between my 7A26 and 7A18 tektronix plug ins i have a missing vernier knob, a destroyed knob, and a cracked knob as well as a broken shaft. What i need exactly is two complete volts/div knob assemblies and the shaft.  The shaft i can replace for 8, or i could buy a 7A18 (that was not owned by the government) and appropriate the parts needed from it if i had to, though i wouldn't like it.

Anyone out there by any chance got these spare parts for a reasonable price? (IE LESS than 50 bucks for the set.) To save me from such drastic measures as butchering a 7A18 of course.

You're right: That stuff's enough for a lifetime (the rest of mine, anyway). But I wasn't kidding. Finding EEVblog and especially this thread made me hunt for even more, so since then I've been visiting the evil bay and bought all the more ... Until then I bought absolutely no TE  at the bay (about 5 things in 15 years total).

Having more than 1 HP6614 may actually help sometimes, but nine? Or twelve Fluke 8050A? In my saner moments, I must admit that I'm insane. 
I have now three PM2521, and I'd actually be willing to part with one. But that would not be the best of them, and I sure don't want to disappoint anyone by sending him a dud. And I'd be scared to not meet your packaging standards (until now, I was only at the receiving end).
What might I get in return for a PM2521 in, hm, less-than-pristine, condition?

Yesterday I fixed my preferred hand held DMM, a Fluke 8060A. It had all segments on, which proved to be just a contact problem with the reset line to the display board. While I had the manual out, I also looked at one of my 8062A's with the "AC doesn't work" sticker. Main problem was C21 at the ICL7660 charge pump. While it basically works now, the displayed voltage starts at about half the actual voltage and runs up in minutes, as if filtered by an extreme low pass. I've no real idea what might cause this, so I let it be for the moment.

As I really need to tidy up my lab, I finally sorted screws and nuts for a few hours ... That would be much easier if there weren't sizes/threads that are very similar but just not the same, which has you try each of them, you can't just look and tell ...

I haven't had such a problem with QService. Perhaps being in the EU helps.

I haven't had such a problem with QService. Perhaps being in the EU helps.

Yeah they're not terrible. I've used them once. Only problem I find with them is that their web site has entries for every conceivable part but the stock is always zero

Also of note, none of the parts needed would not be an irrevocable removal and 7A18s are common as dirt. This idea is actually beginning to sound appealing.

I agree with bd139, do it, I've also done the same thing. I take the view that its better to salvage 1 scope then to have 2 dead ones and that surely can't be wrong can it? Plus of course if you gut the carcass of the mule, you'll plenty of other spare parts for the one that you're fixing up that should hopefully keep yours alive a lot longer.

Even if it all goes to hell I’ve used parts out of old scopes in new projects. That HP I failed to resurrect recently has been recycled into two things so far.

Units stashed in the corner just adds more to the bonfire that SWMBO's can make use of when they want to crucify you, so remove the fuel and get less tongue bashing, whats squirreled away in boxes and tubs and anywhere else parts can be tucked out of sight has to be a good thing right
