Test leads for mcb terminals
« on: August 21, 2017, 06:22:30 pm »
Hey folks, does anybody know where i can purchase the pogo type test leads featured in this video at 0:48 https://youtu.be/tG6gurqB93Q i have sent a message to ht, the publisher but received no awnser as yet. I like them because they seem to be able to grip the terminal hole while keeping contact with the screw.

It's possible that such leads do not exist - they may just be a bit of artistic license by the video maker. The leads appear to be simply dangling from the MCB screw holes, and were not inserted with any positive force.

An illustration in one of the HT Instruments catalogues, shows the analyzer being used with more conventional test leads:

Indeed they are not connected with positive force (nor are they spring-loaded, which is what pogo means). But they're real, and they're magnetic. Here are Fluke's, for example: http://www.fluke.com/fluke/uken/accessories/test-leads-probes-and-clips/fluke-mp1-magnet-probe-1.htm?PID=80112

HT lists them as part 606-IECN (black only, it seems) on page 205 of their catalog: https://www.ht-instruments.com/en/catalogues/ht-instruments-general-catalogue/

That said, I'm going to guess that the Fluke ones are gonna be the easiest to get.
