Hello,
First of all let me thank for supplying the options unlocking site/software. I successfully unlocked may new oscilloscope (DS1054z) with this unlocking key generator. It is a great addon and a magnificant help working with the oscilloscope.
Now I bought at ebay a used DSA 815 spectrum analyzer. Of course before I bought it I verified, if I could unlock this aswell. Firmware is: 1.07.
Everything went fine until I reached the point where I need to enter the "-" sign in the code. It seems not to be possible to enter this. Without the "-" it does not work.
Is it no longer possible to unlock the DSA 815?
If so may I kindly ask the programmers to look on the code if it is possible to modify it to the new firmware?
Would it help to downgrade the firmware, enter the codes and upgrade to the newest? If so is there an FTP site where I can download the FW?
Does anybody know what happens if I update an unlocked device with new firmware?
Thank you very much in advance
Alex

I think you can also unlock it with SCPI Commands. Maybe you should try it.

I cannot speak for the DSA 815. But for the DS1000Z scopes, it is required that you enter the option code without the dashes. See the instructions in the first post of this thread: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ds1000z-serie-unlocking/ (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ds1000z-serie-unlocking/)
Most likely this applies for the DSA 815 as well, and something else went wrong when you tried to enter the code without the '-' sign. Please have a look at the instructions, and also try these proven troubleshooting approaches: 1. try again, 2. try again with another browser, 3. try with the downloaded offline version of Riglol. Good luck!

Thank you for this hint. I tried it and it worked!
So I can confirm that it is possible to unlock the device with firmware 00.01.07 and boot version 00.01.03 when I enter the code without the dashes.
Greeting with a bright smile
