Hello,
Does any one know if i can capture a waveform on my Rigol DS1054Z, and then transfer it (direct via cable or via USB stick) to a Rigol 1022Z waveform generator, and play it back?
I do know that Rigol has a application note how to do this, but that is not with this combination of instruments.

You connect your dg1022z front usb to your ds1054z back usb conncetion, after that you triger on your waveform and go to dg1022z and select load from memory, and ds1054z will be one of the source.
You can read more in page 131 (2-81) of user guide.

Thank you very much, i will see how it works.

Resurrecting this thread.
I've tried this combination on my MSO1104Z-S (most recent firmware 00.04.04.03.02) and DG1022Z (also most recent firmware 00.01.12). Scope is detected by the generator and is available as sort of "pendrive" in Store menu. Active scope channel are visible as files in this menu but when I try loading this "file" error message appears "There is no file at this storage location! the operation is forbidden." (sic)
I can't make it work. What a pity.

Have you tried to single trigger or put the scope in stop before accessing the files from the function generator?

This is the killer feature to take a rigol function gen if you have a rigol scope

Hi,
I've tried again and still no luck. I've followed the exact same procedure as in the video (including storing the waveform as reference) and I keep getting the same message "There is no file at this storage location! the operation is forbidden."
Looks like there is a bug in recent firmware in the scope or in the gen. I have access to DG4000 series generator, DS2000 and DS4000 series scopes. I have to try different combinations to find out which one is working.
This is really nice feature to have so I'm not giving up yet (if only I had enough time...)

I know for certain that DS1074Z and DG1032Z work perfectly via USB connection. Don't know about other combinations.
