Wavetek 2405 Signal Generator

Hi all, newb here...

I have searched high and low on this site as well as on the web for info on this Wavetek 2405 and it is pretty scarce. Seems the company that bought the company that bought Wavetek has nothing on their site for legacy stuff. I scored this from a friend for a reasonable price and it works great. I am looking for the owners manual and/or service manual to have for reference and calibration. Or maybe a teardown!! Does anyone know of a link? I did find the manual for the 2407 and the controls are identical. Does anyone know the differences?

Welcome to the forum.

If the front panel UI is the same it's very likely they are from the same series, the model #'s indicate they are and therefore the only difference could be frequency capabilities. Maybe some internal differences too. 

Quick Google search resulting in these links suggest the 2405, 2407 and 2410 might be very similar:

Some have manufacturers folders that should be carefully checked for a specific model as Google does not always find them.
