BK Precision slow resistance
« on: October 27, 2013, 07:18:15 pm »
Hi,

Got a BK Precision 2708B in October 2011 from Mouser after Dave's review and like it very much apart from the beeper.
I noticed recently in resistance mode it takes a long time to settle. If I put the test leads together or plug in a short piece of test lead it will jump down to about 3ohms then get progressively slower as it approaches 0 (about a minute). If i jump from diode mode to resistance mode it does the same in reverse, It'll take about 5 seconds after auto ranging to show over limit. DC voltage works fine and compares spot on to my Fluke 87.

Not sure what to do with it, can anybody offer some advice?

Thanks

Decided to battle customs and send it back under warranty.
