Title: what is the difference between a rigol DL3021 and the DL3021A

I have seen the spec sheet but nothing is jumping out?

There are some differences.... The A model can do higher frequency, higher slewrate, has higher current readback resolution and wider range on resistance readback. It comes with LAN interface and digital I/O as standard.

As far as I understand it's all software options and the A-model has those installed by default.

Making the LAN interface optional is a big step in the wrong direction IMHO.

The DL3021A also has a color screen.

they both have the same color screen, but the DL3021 is using (almost) only one color.
It is the same as with the DP832 and DP832a.

Unfortunately it is not possible (well it probably is, but nobody was able to yet) to hack the DP832 so it thinks it is a DP832a.
