What is the smallest ampmeter you built?

I am trying to come up with the smallest amp meter I can using 3 digit mini LED meters from Aliexpress.  I will probably use a 25 watt 0.1 ohm resistor as a shunt because the shunts on Aliexpress are too big.  A 3 digit meter is just fine for me.

I ordered some different mini voltmeters.  From a 2 wire voltmeter, 3 wire black magic (I do not understand how they work), 4 wire that makes sense (volts and current are separate).  They are all about 1 - 1 1/2 square inches.  By the time I attach the shunt and terminals it will get 2-3 sq inches.

Anyone come up with an amp meter (say 5-20 amps max) that is smaller than 3 sq inches (on the panel).  I have 1.5 inches depth.

My biggest power supplies (12 v 4a and 9 v 3a )  are 3x4 each  = 24 total square inches.  I have a 12x16 inch working area = 192 sq in.  So far I plan 5 power supplies, 4 amp meters, 2 function generators, and 2-3 oscilloscopes (and maybe a multimeter).  Space is getting tight.

This is for a briefcase electronics lab.  Everything is going inside the lid of the briefcase (Samsonite).
