FLIR T300...any opinions?
« on: August 20, 2019, 11:38:18 pm »
Hi folks,

What do folks think about the older (circa 2010-2011) FLIR T300 camera? Does anyone know about its usefulness vs something like a more modern E40?

How is the autofocus performance and general reliability of these cameras now that they are getting on in age?

Does anyone know if it can be modified to record videos like the T400?

Cheers
froggy

The T3 and T4 series cameras can't record radiometric video at all, but I believe both can record garbage MJPEGs. My T440bx can, but I never use it due to how awful the image quality is.
They're worth getting if you can get them at a low price. The T3 series performs about as well as earlier Exx, the T4 outperforms the Exx in terms of image quality, but not by much. Autofocus is about the same - mediocre, but rather accurate.
