Ridgid thermal cameras?
« on: July 31, 2018, 06:03:23 pm »
I found a new brand of thermal camera while browsing Amazon: https://amazon.com/RT-3-Resolution-Commercial-Residential-Applications/dp/B076CH31CF

The prices are extremely competitive, but $1,166.87 for 160 × 120 and $3,056.85 for 320 × 240 sound way too good to be true. Anyone know more about this brand?

You'd assume this is a Chinese copy brand (typo even ?) so likely to be using ASi from ULIS (or copy of ULIS sensor) from the likes of Guide-Infrared.

Around 3k is not that unachieveable for a 320x240 camera as seen in firefighter markets.  Adding software on top for a bit of colour etc does not change the cost much.

For $3000 I'd buy the newer FLIR Boson core!
