budget smartphone camera with good sensitivity
« on: August 19, 2018, 02:42:31 pm »
i know te-q1 is the best option for me , but they're not replying my mails , so...
i'm left with flir one pro and seek compact pro .

out of those 2 , which has better sensitivity ? i know both state better then 70mk and seek is much higher res .searching the forum i can see that some guys think the flir is still better when it comes to sensitivity , is that the case ?
i'm looking for good sensitivity in 0-70C temp range , indoor measurements , frame rate not critical .
thanks allot

you should look into the Therm-App as well, as long as it fits your budget. Strange that i3 isn't responding.

the Therm-App and Thermal Expert are far superior then Seek in terms of sensitivity and the Flir ONE isn't great at all.

I think the price has gone up. They have realized just how much money they can make from it, so the OFFICIAL price has gone up (not just from your distributor). It's still a good price compared to FLIR anyway. Have you seen how much the FLIR E8 costs? TE-Q1 is still WAY cheaper than the E8.

they have the prices for their cameras on austrian website (i think its austrian)
https://www.thermalexpert.eu/english-1/shop/thermal-imagers/
800 euros for te-q1 , much lower then 2000$ i was offered .

for 1k$ i can get therm app basic , which i think is better overall , but has slightly lower sensitivity on paper.
the salesman told me the te-q1 uses newer sensor compared to therm app and its more sensitive .dont know about that , from reviews and videos i saw , therm app looks better to me .

still debating whether i should go with the seek compact pro , which is half price and same sensitivity as therm app on paper .
its not like i'll be using the camera every day , for once in a month troubleshooting its hard to justify 1k$ for this .
