(Solved) FLIR i3 (Early version) Charger spec please
« on: February 15, 2017, 05:59:28 pm »
Hi all,

I have just purchased a FLIR i5 that comes without its charger.

Please will a FLIR i series camera owner let me know the voltage and current rating on their charger. Plug polarity would also be great.

Many Thanks

Fraser

Correction made... I listed it as an i3 when it is in fact an i5

@firehopper,

Yep, I did not have an i Series camera  ;D

I am also awaiting delivery of a very nice thermoelectrically cooled Agema 510 this week. It is a Shortwave camera that uses a Lead Selenide detector array. Very different to modern microbolometer cameras.

Hi Fraser,
Would you please take a look at your i3's internal file, and tell me if you have a 120 or 140 fpga bin?
The detailed reason is explained in the "update5" section of the following post:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/please-anyone-help-me-hacking-my-flir-i5/
Also you may find that post useful if you want to hack the most out of your i3  ;)
Cheers,
Sam

Hi Sam,

I like your work on the i5 👍🙂

Mine is a MK1 i5 120x120

Thank you Fraser,
I think you mean yours is a Mk1 i3?
Mine looks like a Mk2 from outside, but it still only have 120*120 instead of 140*140, I don't know why.
So if any of us can get a 140 bin file from a Mk2 camera somewhere, we may be able to get 140*140 on both of our cameras.
Good luck to us and hope that day will come earlier :P
Sam

Hi Sam,

No mine is a Mk1 i5 that I will upgrade to 120x120, or higher if possible.
The case is the original grey and blue with i5 shown above the LCD screen and Lens surround

Fraser

Update. Ah I see I listed the camera as an i3 in my first post. It is definitely an i5 🙂 Not that it makes much difference as I am upgrading to i7 spec.
