I am planning to get an android pluggable thermal camera but cannot really decide between the "Seek thermal Pro" and the "Flir One Pro". On one side, FLIR has the MSX technology to sharpen the image via edge overlapping, and on the other, the SEEK Pro has a better thermal sensor resolution. On one side, the FLIR has a rechargeable battery which might need replacement after some time, and on the other SEEK can run directly on phone's power until the battery lasts, and thus no headache of battery replacements for the camera. My primary needs are nothing but mostly buying it for fun and occasionally be using it to examine the temperature of various electronic components in electrical and electronic circuits that I build. I also wanted to know which one has a more practical and usable mobile app.

Any suggestions?

You definitely want the Seek Compact Pro. The FLIR One Pro is not worth the money - not to mention, it's $500.

On ebay, I found:
Flir One Pro ~= 360$ to 370$
Seek Thermal Pro ~= 320$ to 400$
Prices looks like almost the same!!

Go to y local store and test a flir one. Then test 3-5 different units of the seek Pro(fast frame If you can afford and find).

You can read about it as much as you want or watch reviews.

Nothing beats your own opinion and first hand experience. Therefore my purshase advice is to go too a local electronics store and test both devices.

We have had some discussion about quality control and inconsistency with seek thermal cameras here recently so don't only try one of the seek compact pro.

The fast frame is a variant of the seek compact pro that has unlocked framerate and can reach 15hz or even higher on some high performance phones.

Oh, thanks!

Sadly :( , we don't have these thermal cameras at any of the indian local stores so that was the reason I asked on the forum. I was actually going to ask one of my friend to bring it for me!!

I had a Flir E5 and a Flir one Pro.
Now I have Flir C3 and a Seek Thermal Reveal XR
The main problem in the Seek Reveal is the precision, It always shows me a little above temperature, in this case Flir performed much better.
The Main problem on the Flir One pro is the battery that have a sort runtime.
Usualy the MSX on Flir devises compassate the low resolution.
On my little experience I would prefere Flir one pro.
