Wow. 

He was a powerhouse in the S100 world.  i talked to him after a lecture he did on the s100 systems at the Philly computer show in I believe 1978.   He was not only a really good engineer, but also a excellent salesman.   I ended up buying a s100 backplane and whole lot of boards from him.  The S100 system from him allowed me to experiment with all kinds of interface circuits.  I had a great time.   

The products he sold were built with a quality that I feel was second to none.  They were great products by a person that really loved his work and designs. 

RIP Bill,  thanks for the memories.
At least I'm still older than my test equipment
