Z-One, DIY CP/M machine
« on: August 03, 2018, 08:17:09 am »
I just published my latest hobby project, the Z-One machine, at http://www.nomad.ee/micros/z-one/. It uses SD card as storage (16x8MB drives), Z80 runs at 4.6MHz, has onboard usb/serial converter. Output is 80x30 character text on VGA monitor, uses PS/2 keyboard. Check it out, let me know if you like it :)

Looks like fun to me!
Do you have any pics of the completed board?

Here is a quick pic of the board running... For the keen-eyed who spotted that the ChibiTerm's voltage regulator is not where its supposed to be - its not the latest revision (the one that I published), this one still has some bodge wires underneath.

Neat project! I need to wire up my Commodore 128 up some day, and give CP/M a good and proper try.

Any plans on selling these as kits?
I forget who I am sometimes, but then I remember that it's probably not worth remembering.
