Copper injection sintering using 3D mold

(1/1)

thm_w:
Not directly 3D printing -> sintering but still an interesting take.
Process: 3D print mold -> fill with slurry -> sinter

They claim they are working on titanium + steel, probably much harder to do than copper.

This method avoids the sort of shrinkage you'd get with lost-PLA casting methods?

All would have shrinkage, in this case he said 6%.
Main benefit I would think is safety and not screwing around with hot liquid metal.
