You can get a lot of boards manufactured and express shipped for that price.

I struggle to see a market for this myself, but I guess there probably is one, I suppose there might be less health and safety issues with using a device like this rather than either chemical etching or routing.  But it's certainly slower, much much more expensive, and less capable electrically :-/

Some of the parts of its dispenser operation are interesting beyond the actual device. Precision Solder dispensing with an old 3D printer might be fun to play with for those with a 'spare' (I do own one and three working ones)

As it is perhaps a fail as a PCB maker (so far) it is more of a CNC/3DP topic. I have sketched up on paper a paste dispenser before and I was looking at putting it on my old one. Like a lot of things on 'the list' likely to stay in the sketchbook for a while yet

I think there has to be some sane middle ground between this, which is very well thought-out but not ready for prime-time, and the cheap-ass chattery POS CNC PCB mills one sees on AliEx. The idea of being able to do iterative design or hobbyist fab in-house with a 4-to-8-hour turnaround is very enticing.

I'd gladly pay real money for something that has everything figured out for you like this... with known-to-work rivets, drills & consumables, etc... made with linear rails and a properly bolted-down BL drill motor, rather than cheap knocked-together V-slot and a Mabuchi 380 can motor held on with a hose clamp.

I'd be very happy with even as small as 150mm x 150mm or 200mm x 200mm PCB area... as long as it was sanely priced (for hobbyist use) and not a complete POS.

Have you seen LPKF equipment?  This is what they specialise in, and they do charge real money!

The LPKF EasyContac rivets are a bit pricey, but they work pretty well.  They do require much larger vias that I'd typically design with though.  I have run a Taig CNC mill in the past, and more recently a pretty decent Chinese 6040 router upgraded with brushless spindle and Gecko drivers.  I rarely try to CNC PCBs any more unless is it really urgent, or maybe just for mechanical verification.  I CNC mill parts from Aluminium or acrylic/delrin/FR4 for various projects but it is fiddly and time consuming.  Otherwise I use 3D printed ABS where possible as it involves very little effort than just hitting print.
