Which Marlin firmware would be more efficient on an 8 bit microcontroller i.e. Marlin 2.0.9.3 versus 1.1.9.1 when I mean efficiency I mean am efficient code running on the CPU a Ram Equivalent on the microcontroller

Marlin 2.0.9.3 or the last one for the future.
If you have a 8bit µP just just turn off some features in the config file.
With less horses you have to go light.
