Hey everyone :) Long time no post ;) I have a question to all those that work with altium designer and perform thermal simulations of their PCB's. Is it possible to do such a thing with AD (I know PADS can) or do you use externall software? And if so can you name that software? Thx for any answer :) |

Don't know about AD, but with Cadstar we used to use Flomerics Flotherm which could accept quite a few formats and gave us really good results |

AD does not have any form of thermal capability built in. I am aware of some who export various things and use external tools, but I don't know the exact details. Dave. |
