AD 24 BUG - local search path no longer recursive?

Running AD 24.3.1 and today we recognized that search paths in local footprints are no longer recursive. Option is checked but not working any longer.

Enabled the search path again (as it is no longer available by default since 21) https://www.altium.com/documentation/altium-designer/accessing-defining-managing-project-options#search_paths

Edit shows paths recursive


But here the recursive paths are gone and you cannot find footprints from recursive folders


Can anyone confirm?
Does anyone know how to fix it (despite adding all sub-folders)?
