Changing defaults for polygon?

Hi all,

I just upgraded to Altium 15 and a strange thing started happening.
When I draw a polygon and accept, the polygon becomes automatically shelved, and this is something I do not want.
I googled like crazy to find where to set this, but to no avail. Under the "normal" defaults at Preferences ->  PCB Editor -> Defaults -> Polygon there is no setting to turn of automatic shelving.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have logged a case with Altium, but the response time is not super.

in version 14.3 they changed the polygon behavior. There is no "shelving" anymore. Now they are "poured" or "unpoured".
What happened is that you drew a polygon and it became unpoured. You must set it to poured either in its properties or in the tools >polygon menu.
Also it's possible you created a polygon on another layer that was hidden from the current view, so you can't see it.

I haven't installed it yet but I thought I read in version 15 they bought back the concept of shelved and unshelved polygons.

I got an answer from Altium, apparently of you import your settings from 14.3 there is a bug that makes all polygones go Shelved.

The fix is to (while the software is off) to find the ADVPCB.DFT file in 'C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Altium\Altium Designer {xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx}', and in this file
locate the the statement SHELVED=TRUE and change that to SHELVED=FLASE
