AD18 - Stop automatic compiling of schematic

Pretty much what the title says. Every time I perform any action in a schematic in AD18, such as adding a wire or net label, moving a part, etc. The whole thing freezes up for 1-2 seconds and says "Compiling..." down in the message bar. I can't seem to find an option to disable this. I disabled the Online DRC in the PCB Editor settings, but that didn't do it. There must be a similar option for the schematic editor, any idea where I might find it?

mine does that also, compiling, but in a split of a second so it's really unnoticeable when I edit the SCH.

try to reset your settings to the default settings in the tools/preference/system/general/advance
also in the project/ project options & see what happens.
