Can't rotate a schematic symbol anymore!
« on: April 28, 2021, 05:25:54 pm »
I've been using AD 19 for several years and have been able to figure out most strange things that occasionally come up. But I had one yesterday that I can't figure out and its driving me nuts!

I was working on a new schematic. When I started everything was acting OK. I could have a resistor symbol floating on the cursor and hit the space bar to rotate it into the proper orientation. In the middle of placement the ability to rotate with the space bar went away!

Hitting the space bar while holding a floating symbol now puts a little green check mark by the symbol and it does not rotate.
If I hold the control key down while hitting the space bar it will rotate the symbol.

I have rebooted and started over but the problem persists.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to get things back to "normal"?

Thanks,  Mark

They changed the default from move to drag, something like that.

Try changing the "Always drag" option in preferences->schematic.
