'Revision' parameter in Draftsman
« on: October 25, 2022, 09:00:13 pm »
I'm running AD22.0.2 here, and trying to give Draftsman another chance.  I see that Draftsman documents have a "Revision" system parameter, just like schdocs do, except it doesn't seem to be editable in the parameter list like it is in sch.  Is it possible to edit this somewhere else in the project? Or is it tied into project metadata in vaults or workspaces or whatever Altium's calling that stuff these days, which I'm not using?

I can add a "Rev" user parameter and use that in my title block template as a workaround, but I'm curious if there's something I'm missing somewhere, if this is something else that's broken when you aren't using Altium's cloud services, or if it's just one of the many half-assed/broken things in Draftsman itself.

Have a look inside your project parameters

ahh, I did that before and did not see a revision parameter, only the ones I already have in my template project.  I didn't think to try manually adding a "Revision" parameter, but hey, that does actually work.  I've been using the 'Revision' sch parameter for sheet-level revisions since it *can* be edited locally, and I record overall project versioning differently, but it clearly won't work for that in Draftsman. Heaven forbid Altium be consistent about anything  :palm:
