Altium alternate variant components show as not-fit on assy drawings

I'm generating output for a PCB. The project has a variant where some components are not fit and some others are substituted for different ones. The assembly drawings report is configured to show not fitted components in draft mode and add a red cross above the. The problem is that it adds a cross above components that have an alternate comoponent in the variant too, so you can't tell not-fitted from alternative components and the assy drawing is ruined. Bug maybe?

edit: bug confirmed, doesn't happen on more recent altium version.
