PCB editor: one object highlighted with brighter hue. How do I turn it off?

Hi folks,

A component (or in this most recent incident a buried plane or net or something) is somehow always depicted in a much brighter hue than it normally is (blue, for bottom polygon fill in this case).  In the 3D view, all objects which would normally be in the way are cut away so that the object appears directly.

I keep accidentally hitting some keystroke or doing some misclick to produce this.  Does anyone know what this is and how turn this off?  I've been searching through the Altium documentation online in vain for hours.

I forget if there's highlighting for components or other objects, that may've been added in 18+.

Net highlighting can be controlled on the PCB Panel.

Like Tim mentioned it sounds like you are highlighting a particular net. This shortcut is ctrl+LMouse. The shortcut to clear any filtering or selection or highlighting is shift+c.

Oh yeah, CTRL+click highlights a net and ALT+click highlights a component.

I think I was confused by your use of "hue", which is color (red-green-blue).  The intensity is the luminosity, which is how this highlighting works.  (That leaves saturation, which is how intense the color is; masked objects are set to gray, i.e. zero saturation.)

Brackets [ ] change the background level while highlighted, or the | Snap | Mask Level | Clear | buttons in the bottom-right access menus for this (and snap things, and Clear is just SHIFT+C).
