Altium Designer - Routing Issues
« on: August 07, 2016, 07:35:14 am »
Hi All,

I am trying to get some experience with Altium Designer. Specifically I am trying to design a simple Resistor and LED Circuit. To be thorough I am trying to make my own schematic symbol and footprint. I am able to get the schematic and the footprint done individually and in the schematic sheet I can connect up my custom resistor with a provided LED schematic. When routing however my resistor footprint does not show any connection to the provided LED footrpint.

I am not quite sure why this is. I have made sure that the desginators are correct. I have also done a force annotate schematic and made sure that all the relevant files are in the one project. I am really not sure what the next step is. However as I am a fairly new beginner to Altium Designer I was hoping that those more experienced would be able to look through the files attached and point out my errors.

Thank you very much.

Your pin  1 on the resistor schematic is incorrectly oriented, turn it 180 deg and it will work. Only one end of a pin is active/connectable.
