Altium: Missing "Plated" via tickbox on flex pcb
« on: October 01, 2020, 03:21:13 am »
Hi,

In Altium v20 the plated tickbox is missing for flex pcb vias, i.e. all vias are plated and there's no way to set unplated.

Is this maybe because flex pcb material is cutout with a die.
So any un-plated hole would be done as part of the board shape stamping process, hence they should be done in altium as board cutouts?

Vias wouldn't be very via-y if they didn't connect layers together... ;D

You can always place free pads, or board cutouts, yes.

Also, I'm not sure if there's a way to place blind or buried pads, if that's relevant.  Though I think something was added in the last couple versions?
