Layer Transparency grid not showing - Version 17.1

In my Layers config screen under the transparency tab the grid of layers for adjusting individual layer transparencies is not showing. This is in version 17.
 
Any ideas anyone?

What happens if you uncheck "only show used layers"?

Nothing...the grid choices are still not there.
