Anyone have the LT3080?
« on: December 17, 2013, 11:01:44 pm »
Well, some little blue gnomes bestowed me with a copy of Altium, and I have been trying to learn it's various features. I am proud to say that I can draw a schematic at least  :-+. While designing a replacement for the cheap ass elenco PSU kit as my first project, I have found the need to use a LT3080 chip, but it's not in the Linear LDO library. Has anyone either created the part manually or can offer any advice on the best way to create the part myself? I prefer to use that over the LM317 in analog PSU designs.
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.
