AD20 dxf schematic export ignoring variants and only outputting one page

Just wondering- bugs or  me? This is AD20.0.14
1. I add AutoCAD dwg/dxf File Schematic to export outputs section of the output job, select Project as a Data source and generate output. I get dxf per schematic page, but it ignores variant selected. (I always get "no variations"one no matter what I actually select in Variant choice)

2. If I go through File, export , DXF/DWG and select "All schematic documents in the current project", Altium churns through all pages, tells me it generated x pages, then saves the last one ?! (Still ignoring the variant as well)

Both seems to be bugs, but the second one appears to have been around since forever per Altium forums.

Any workarounds I should try?
And in general how does one generate CAD friendly outputs of schematics and layout layers?  Customer request...

Also tried selecting "choose a different variant for each output" under Variant choice.
This added dropdown box to each out to select variant. Except for schematic DXF one..
