Updating multiple components' schematic symbols in existing sheet?

Hi all,

I am trying to make a schematic presentable so that I can show it to a customer we've contracted with. The person who originally drew the schematic used 3 different resistor symbols. I have no idea why. I want to update all of the symbols to the same type, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to just update the symbol...and not symbol plus associated footprint? Seems like a mess to me. I need to update about 50 symbols.

Using AD14 by the way.
