Altium Designer Integrated Library part
« on: February 28, 2019, 09:34:33 am »
I have created a new Integrated Library in altium consisting of a schematic symbol and footprint. I've compiled it and it appearing in my library but minus the footprint. I thought the integrated library should have both in.If I do a search         fo r the footprint I can direct it to the folder with the foot print in but it still says foot print missing. This is driving me mad!!!
I can see my integrated library withe the schematic symbole and footprint in my project window to the left of the screen

I've only ever had a separate Integrated Library for footprints and another for schematic symbols, and compiled each separately.

but i would try close and reopen Altium if you haven't yet, occasional it can get a bit confused regarding library paths.

I regularly create integrated libraries with both a schematic library, and a pcb library. I believe this is the whole purpose of an integrated library, to compile both the schematic symbols, and the PCB footprints into a single compiled library.

Regardless, when you are in the schematic library file in the integrated library, do you see the footprint added? Once in your schematic document, you can use the footprint manager (tools->Footprint Manager) to validate the footprints for each symbol. Just place the symbol you're having issues with, and double check that the path is correct once you validate in footprint manager. I have had some weird instances where footprints dont show up, and it was usually resolved through footprint manager.
