Pushing routes
« on: November 17, 2013, 02:03:44 pm »
Hello,

I am from Poland but I find lack of help at polish forums so I decided to ask here: while I was designing my board I accidentally changed something and now Altium does not "push" routes that are already layed. What I mean is when you ctrl + click and move existing route connection it should push other routes, make them be closer one to another. Now it just lets me put route in any place I want, ignoring all rules even short circuits. Does anybody know how to change it back ?

I must have changed something in "Desing -> Rules", but I can not find it.

Problem solved! I wanted to make a new rule with Clearance for my chip and I accidentally deleted previous one. I added the old one with clearance for all elements and it works fine now.

You can also go to Preferences -> PCB Editor -> Interactive routing and change conflict resolution mode (hug, push etc). You can also cycle through those on the fly with Shift+R while in interactive routing mode.

I love the smell of FR4 in the morning!
