Altium repetitive schematic sheets and JTAG daisy chain
« on: February 20, 2023, 07:49:02 am »
Hi,

I do note know how to solve this in Altium. I have four equal ethernet PHYs on four repetitive schematic sheets in Altium. I want to implement a JTAG daisy chain to these PHYs.
My plan is to have the JTAG connector on the top level sheet. The Problem is that only TDI and TDO shall exit/enter from the first and last PHY.
Is this possible to do with repetitive schematic sheets?  :-//

//Best regards,

Sure it's called Multichannel design, and it's very easy to do once you understand how the naming and everything works. You can even copy the layout with a tool in the PCB design phase.
