netlist generation
« on: August 18, 2023, 10:50:52 am »
Hi all,
I have searched the forum about this and found something similar from 2013.
I also went to Altium help and followed what they said.
I want to be able to see a net for the guys in my test department.
Altium suggests generating a "NET Status Report"
OK I did that.
Then you can click on the net and it highlights.
No it doesnt.
It just sends my cursor to a random area on the screen, off the PCB.
I would have expected a text file to say exactly where a net goes, in this instance +12V
Yes the blokes have a schematic, but they are tracing this on a big board, with lots of sheets in the design.
Having a netlist will greatly help them fault find.
All help greatfully recieved.

Use the PCB panel, if you pay for maintenance you can always give view access to a A365 workspace which provides the same sort of interface where you can select the net and it highlights.
