Altium Designer Interactive Routing
« on: August 17, 2015, 03:16:31 pm »
Hi reader!

I'm a student doing my masters thesis and I've worked with Altium Designer 14 for a couple of months. Earlier this evening I ran into a problem, for some reasons the interactive routing stopped working. When I route or drag existing tracks I can cross (short circuit) any other track. I checked my settings under "Tools - Preferences - PCB Editor - Interactive Routing" and "Ignore Obstacles" is not checked under "Routing Conflict Resolution" nor "Dragging".

I've also checked so that the "Allow Shorcuts" alternative in the DRC settings is off

I have no clue on how to fix it and I spent a couple of hours trying to find a solution without any luck.

Does anyone know if theres a way to solve this dilemma?

Kind regards / Christoffer

Is the rule itself turned on? If you press D, R and click on the short circuit, does it say enabled?

Thanks for your reply!
Yes, it is enabled.

But now I managed to solve my problem. I ran the design Rule Wizard and it fixed my problem (but it screwed up some of my rules). I still do not know what caused it but at least I know how to fix it.
