PCB Silkscreen Artwork

I was wondering if any of you are willing to share your methods of creating PCB silkscreen artwork.

Sometimes I want to add a logo to PCB, or small drawing. Usually I copy the image to the Photoshop, convert it to grayscale bitmap and then Copy&Paste it to Altium.
However sometimes it works just like I want it to, but more often I just crash my DXP.exe or the converted lines/poly have extremely poor quality.

Are there some other methods of doing this or do you have some tips and tricks to share with the rest of us?

Whenever I need to add a logo etc to a PCB I create a TTF font and then us that font as a text string.

So letter 'A' for example is the Image you want to place.

Being a font character also allows all the features of a text string i.e. rotation, layer and size.

Just use a font editor that allows a bitmap image etc to be imported.

That's a great method. Way better than one I've been using so far.

I'll just have to find some decent TTF font editor.

I use the font method as well.  It has produced the best results.

What software do you use to create TTF with your logo?

I'm looking for one that is simple and easy to use, if possible and that works under windows
