Interactive routing collision problem
« on: February 15, 2022, 09:56:18 pm »
I have this really weird problem where I seem to have disabled interactive routing collision avoidance. When I route my traces my routing neither pushes or hugs other objects and it does not give any live DRC errors for overlapping nets. I have checked my preferences and tried several modes for conflict resolution. I cant figure out what I have enabled/disabled to create this problem.  |O

Please help out. Thanks

It wasnt for clearance and short circuits. So now it detects live clearance and short circuits but the interactive routing still wont hug or push.

EDIT: Just got a weird interactions where the interactive routing pushed vias in the same net.

It sounds like perhaps you have the Interactive Routing Conflict Resolution option set to "Ignore Obstacles"? This can be very useful for some work, but is usually not what one wants.

I stopped using the regular routing command and switched to quick route, more responsive, more predictable.

Are you aware that those settings are only for selecting which modes are available to be selected? You still have to select the mode you want. Press Shift-R while routing to cycle between modes.
