Display Component Comments on PCB
« on: January 23, 2019, 03:00:44 am »
When laying out a PCB in AD18, only the component designators show up on the top overlay/silkscreen layer. How would I go about including the comment/value parameters such that a resistor shows "10K" rather than "R1" (and so on)?

For AD17, I would assume that AD18 is the same.

As per the image.

Awesome thanks! Did you get to that menu by right clicking on the part and selecting "component actions"?

Double clicking on the part in the PCB editor if the part is locked

or left click on unlocked part to select it and then right click for context menu and select Properties.

Cheers

Component properties.  Double-click; or right-click, Properties; or use the Properties window (formerly Inspector Panel).

I don't think you can get SCH parameters on the PCB but you can copy them to the Comment field where it will sync.  Use Parameter Manager or SCH List to do this.
