Rounded polygon clearance for SMD pads
« on: April 04, 2023, 11:13:12 pm »
Hi all!

I've been trying to figure out how to have a rounded clearance for my SMD pads just like there is for my other polygons.

I have gone through my design rules in an attempt to fix this, but to no avail.

I have seen other articles online mentioning that you can just change the pad type to a rounded square and that will fix it, but I figured one shouldn't have to do that

Does anyone know how I can enable rounded clearance for polygon pours to SMD pads?

Image attached for reference.

I know this doesn't answer your question but.. rounded SMD pads are superior to square ones. Might convince you to try them.

The design rule that is determining the C5 connection would be "polygon connect style" from what I remember it only has the distance setting, but you could check again.
