fabrication layer output altium
« on: August 07, 2016, 06:17:43 am »
Hi,

I've searched a lot in Altium configuration trying to get a fancy fabrication layer output like in the attached images, but without success, so if someone know the secret configuration please share it.

Google hasn't been a help on this and I really want a nice output fabrication layer for my PCB.  :box: :box:

 :scared: :scared: :scared:

Thanks in advance,

 JP

Design / Board Options, Display Sheet

This gives you the white background.  I never use it, personally, because PCB view isn't made to work with a white background, and it doesn't do anything otherwise.

Place / Drill Table
Place / Layer Stack Table

If you are using through holes, the default Drill Table settings will be fine.  If using blind holes, it's probably a good idea to place several tables, and change their settings to each layer pair, or include the column that says which layer pairs a hole belongs to.

To add the mechanical-sheet stuff (the row/column margins, rev block, title block), you need primitives, probably copied from another template project.  I don't use these either personally, but I have customers who do.

I'm posting here new information for people like me who looking for this parameter in the new version of Altium Designer.
Because Design>Board Options>Display Sheet does not exist anymore.

Click in gray background (select nothing)  > Proprieties panel > on the bottom of the bar > Sheet Settings

I looked for this for about 1 hour... this is why I reply to this old post.

Or you can just press shift+c to clear any selection.  :-+
