Altium ASCII export
« on: May 01, 2020, 04:40:08 pm »
I need to get a pcb schematic from an Altium file to EasyEDA. I've downloaded Altium free trial, but I can't seem to find the spot where I can save the file as ASCII (EasyEDA can import Altium's ASCII file). I tried exporting to dxf and then importing the dxf but the polylines came as seperate(
). Even if I manually connected the polylines in AutoCAD before importing to EasyEDA.
How can I save altium files in ASCII file format?

I'm not sure about the free trial version. In the licensed version, select "File | Save As" from the main menu for each of the individual schematic or PCB files, and then select ASCII from the "Save as type:" drop down list. I've had the same problem in the past trying to pull design data into DipTrace and certainly sympathize ...
