Well, ok, this forum section is as close as it gets to Protel...

I've just started a new project in Protel99se, it's been a year since I started a new one.  After creating a new project, then schematic, I tried to add a schematic library.  When trying to add my default library, Protel99se said 'The file type is not recognized.' (see attached photo)

Now, I can open the .ddb as a project and go in and edit any and all of the components so I know the .ddb is good and valid.  In fact, when trying to add a blank newly created .ddb I just generated today as a test, it also fails to recognize the file type.  Did Windows update do something within the past year to make my Protel99se useless?  On both of my Windows 7 professional systems.

Is there a way to un-do this damage?  I know Protel uses a component within windows to create and manage the compact .ddb files.
