silly ad?
« on: August 05, 2015, 10:16:45 am »
Today I saw this ad in Facebook:

What does it mean? You can do small hobby boards with it, with lots of bodge wires? And why the screwdriver? Testing the board if it can survive random short-circuits?  :-/O

Found the same image with Google image search, but without the wires and the screwdriver at shutterstock. So did they ask the designer to add the screwdriver and the wires? Sheng Teng uses the same image.

I believe I've seen that as part of an animated ad where they're trying to show what you can avoid by using AD.  Not sure why it appeared on its own, as out of context it does look rather dumb.

Just for the lols, the image is updated:

Looks like a low complexity (like single-side PCB voltage regulator) wet PCB, with a band-aid on the right side :-DD

I wonder how much they pay to create and push all these ads on Facebook.
