Altium Polygon Keepout
« on: April 02, 2014, 01:11:09 am »
I'm using Altium Designer and can't work out what should be a simple design rule.   |O

I have a ground plane (polygon) in which I want to have a small area not covered.  The area in question does have a few components and a couple of tracks.

I created a keepout region and the ground plane polygon pours around it like it should.  But... there are violations between the keepout region and those few components and tracks.

How to I implement the design rule for this?  Have I used the wrong method in the keepout?

Use a Polygon Pour Cutout instead, it won't interact with non-polygon objects.

Perfect - that seems to do exactly what I need.  I just knew there was something simple I'd missed / forgotten!  Thank you.   :-+
