Bill Mench posted an memoriam on the WDC website a few days ago but for those who haven't seen and/or heard, Chuck Peddle - the "father" of the 6502 and by effect probably one of those who can be rightly credited with kickstarting the entire personal computer industry passed away on the 15th of December.
Dave and Chris did a interview with Chuck a few years ago, so it's worth listening to again (sorry - I can't rattle the number off the top of my head - I'm sure someone else can dig it up).
