Kicad interactive bom alternatives (AmpHour #561)
« on: October 14, 2021, 06:40:05 am »
Interactive bom in kicad is a nice addition and should be standard in all EDA tools!

However, there are some more third party tools. I always use VisualPlace to manually place boards.

I modified the pick&place list creator ulp for Fusion360 yesterday. https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/2188482

There is also SMT Assistant, which was mentioned before here on the forum, which is more limited. Doesn't use gerbers but a bitmap, not very good for big boards.

I'm sure there must be more...
