Why do EEs work for banks?

Because they PAY!  State-of-the-art high-frequency trading is FPGA, ASIC.  Yes, banks want math-brane and stats-skeels, but they hire real engineers for real engineering too.  2usec (MICRO!) internal latency.

Patrons in a brothel typically pay, too. That still doesn't mean EEs should work in brothels.

The brothel operators are experts in dynamic discharges, but probably know f all about static discharges  ;D

In some ways the banks are no better then loan sharks but that's another story.
